Bakki Apartments & Hostel - Eyrarbakki

Spacious one bedroom apartment with mountain views. Well-appointed kitchen with dishwasher. Helpful staff allowed us a late check-out due to snow storm. Good location for tourist attractions in South Iceland. Spoke to receptionist at home in emergency and she saved the day.

The apartments offer clean and modern rooms with comfortable sofa beds, perfect for a low-budget getaway. the bathrooms are neat and the kitchen is well-equipped, making it convenient for cooking. the location by the sea provides a nice view, and there are plenty of towels and linen included. the lockers are free and the staff is friendly, ensuring a high level of cleanliness throughout the property.

Some guests have reported that the beds and lockers can be squeaky, causing potential discomfort during the stay.

I recently stayed at a wonderful hostel near the ocean and had a fantastic experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with clean sheets that smelled fresh. The spacious rooms had big windows and curtains that made it easy to create a dark sleeping environment. The common area was also spacious and well-equipped, with plenty of chairs, tables, and sockets to charge devices. I appreciated the beautiful pictures of Icelandic nature that adorned the walls, giving the place a nice vibe. The bathrooms were the best I've ever seen in a hostel, with each toilet and shower in a separate room with a normal door. this hostel provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Although my bed creaked a bit, it was a minor issue that didn't bother me much. Additionally, the hostel is located off the ring road away from Selfoss, so it's important to come prepared.

Additionally, the location was convenient, with the town of Selfoss just a short drive away.

Amazingly Clean and Comfortable Rooms

We had an amazing stay at a lovely hostel in a peaceful area. The rooms were spotless and the towels and beddings provided were a nice touch. We were able to lock our belongings in the lockers under the beds for added security. The showers were also pristine and well-maintained. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area were perfect for cooking and relaxing. Plus, the smart TV with Netflix was a great bonus for unwinding after a long day. Although public transport is limited, having our own car allowed us to explore the surrounding area easily. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay near Eyrarbakki.
